A KITE CRUISE IN EGYPT – THE PROGRAM
A kitesurf cruise in Egypt is an adventure lasting 8 days/7 nights: you will be kiting all day (wind conditions permetting) in the best kite spots of the Red Sea, with a luxury yacht as base, where you will be able to sleep, relax and enjoy the time off the water, a comfortable hotel on the move, ready to pamper you. This year we have decided to take advantage of the end of Summer to organize a Kite cruise in October, to be able to get the best Red Sea conditions, avoiding the summery period which is typically more crowded. Hurghada is the arrival airport (HRG, International Airport of Hurghada) – all you have to do is to organize your flight, our team will wait for you at the airport and will take you to the boat. The doors of the boat will open every Saturday at noon – you will have till early morning of Sunday to get aboard, because on Sunday morning at 7 AM the yacht will leave the Hurghada port heading to the first spot. We will sail, do kitesurf and enjoy the beautiful Red Sea until Friday, the boat will return to the port in the late afternoon of Friday and the trip will officially end at noon on Saturday. Contact us for more information and if you need help searching for flights. The arrival airport is, as mentioned before, the Hurghada International Airport. If that week doesn’t look right to you, check out our weekly plan of all our kite cruises to see all our trips in 2025!
OUR YACHT
For this kite cruise our boat will be the Heaven Liberty. This luxury motor yacht can accommodate up to 24 kiters plus 4 member of our team and it has its own crew of sailors, chefs, kite experts and a captain of course. On board you can find a restaurant, a master deck and a sun terrace: the restaurant area has a large space that offers 3 meals at day, a large lounge with TV, a solarium and an upper solarium with a bar where you can relax and celebrate while on the master deck yo will be able to prepare the equipment for the day. The boat comes equipped with two rafts, which will be used to reach the lagoons and islands of the Red Sea and possibly for the rescue of kiters in difficulty. We have been organizing trips since 2015, so we have a great experience on kite cruises in Egypt.
KITE SAFARI DAY BY DAY
Each week is different, each wind forecast is different and, most importantly, each group is different! Obviously we have a program in mind for our cruise, but this plan can change, depending on the conditions of the sea we will find.
DAY 1 – The first Saturday is the day of arrival – you will be met at the airport by a person from our team who will accompany you to the boat. You will meet the rest of the team, the other kiters and will enter your cabin. The first dinner is on the boat and the first night is in Hurghada Marina, where you can get ready for the next day’s activities!
DAY 2 – We will leave the marina as soon as possible, heading for Abu Mungar, our first kite spot of the week, which is perfect for a warm-up session. After lunch we will kite in Abu Mungar until sunset, have dinner on board and comfortably sleep on the boat in Abu Mungar.
DAY 3 – We will have a sunrise session before breakfast, around 6am – the best time for a quiet session before the day really starts! During breakfast we will move with the boat heading north, to one of the best kitesurfing spots in the Red Sea, the island of Tawila. We will kite in this iconic kite spot all day long and we will sleep in Tawila.
DAY 4 – Today we will stay in Tawila, to enjoy the perfect conditions that this island offers.
DAY 5 – Early in the morning we will move north again to Geisum – we will kite there all day and in the evening we will have a barbecue on the beach (if it is not too windy).
DAY 6 – Today we will do a downwinder from Geisum to Tawila – easy, about 2 hours/30 km, little wave. We will begin before breakfast to reach Tawila around 11:00 AM and have lunch there. We will spend all day in Tawila..
DAY 7 – Last day in the Red Sea – we will kite until lunch in Tawila and return to the tourist harbour in the late afternoon. We will have dinner on board as we head to El Gouna, and if we still have energy, we will have dinner outside the boat. We will return to the boat to sleep of course.
DAY 8– The boat will close its doors at noon – depending on your plans, we will arrange your transfers to the airport or to a hotel, if you have chosen to stay other days in Egypt. See you next time! As mentioned before this is our standard route for kite cruising: it mainly depends on the wind forecast and the level of kiters during the trip, we will choose the best day-to-day plan to ensure you get the best out of the Red Sea, in any conditions. Normally October is a windy month in Egypt, but in case of one or more windless days, we can wakeboard, snorkel and use our stand up paddle boards to explore the coral reefs and the warm waters of the Red Sea.
THE PROGRAM OF THE WEEK*
SATURDAY: Saturday is the arrival day: you will meet the team and all the other kiters, and you will get into your cabin. Dinners and drinks are on board, or you are welcome to explore the town of Hurghada for a fun night out before a very intense kitesurfing week.
SUNDAY: Around 7am the boat will leave the marina, direction Abu Mungar, our first kite spot of the week. We will kite in Abu Mungar all day, the perfect place for a warm up week.
MONDAY: We will be kiting in Abu Mungar all day and at sunset we will move to Geisum, our second spot of the week.
TUESDAY: We will wake up before breakfast for an early session, so this will be a 3 kite sessions day. A lot of kitesurfing for a lot of progression.
WEDNESDAY: The boat will move in the early morning to Asharafy – a huge lagoon is waiting for us, with shallow areas and deep areas to practice and try new tricks.
THURSDAY: We will be kiting all day in Ashrafi.
FRIDAY: Downwinder day! We will move from Ashrafi in the early morning before breakfast for an easy downwinder to Geisum. We will kite in Geisum till lunch, and at lunch we will head back to the marina. We will spend the last night on the boat at land, with a chance to have a last dinner on board or decide to be adventurous and go in town for dinner and drinks.
SATURDAY: Time so say goodbye. Depending on your schedule, we will arrange your transfer to the airport or to an hotel of your choice to continue your holiday. See you next time!
*NOTE: the plan is always subject to change – depending on the forecast and on the group, we change the route explained above. Rest assured, we always try to find the best wind at sea: in case of low wind, we have more activities planned to enjoy the Red Sea.
