What Happened with the Kite Safari week 30th August – 6th September?

While we’re fully booked (or almost fully booked) year-round, a strange thing is happening – our first kite safari week of September, which I personally consider one of the best weeks to be out at sea, is suddenly looking quiet. Only 6 or 7 kiters have signed up so far.

Rest assured, we’ll still head out even if the yacht is only half full, but I genuinely wonder why, and honestly, I have no clue.

WHY IS IT A GREAT WEEK?

IIt’s warm — still no need for wetsuits. And that’s exactly what I love.

The wind stats don’t lie: the wind is supposed to be there.

The sea won’t be too busy either. August doesn’t bring many yachts out, so I expect the first week of September to be pretty quiet around the islands.

THEN WHY NOT SO MANY PEOPLE ARE SIGNING UP?

If you have any idea why it may be, please contact me. I’m too curious. And if you’re reading this, there’s a good chance you might be interested in joining. At this point, I’m open to offering a discount to make sure I’ve got my kiters on board – so drop me a message, and hopefully I’ll see you out at sea!

I love kitesurfing, travelling, and making short walks with my dog. I organize kite cruises in Egypt since 2014, you may find me in some windy beach pretty much all year round when I’m not on the boat, may it be Egypt, Cape Verde, Mauritius or Greece. I drink red wine and play (badly) the guitar. You can contact me at +201009410388 (whatsapp or calls) or just email me at [email protected] Hope to see you on board one of these days!
