Sick Dog Board

Why my kite safari are less expensive

Why my kite safari are less expensive

There are a few reasons why Sick Dog Kite Safaris (my kite safaris) are noticeably cheaper than other kite safaris you’ll find online. The main reason is that we have our own yacht, so we don’t need to rent one for any week. But I’d like to go into more detail and explain the factors that make our kitesurfing cruises more affordable.

OUR OWN YACHT

This is only logical – while we of course have expenses, it’s much cheaper to run a kite safari when you own the yacht rather than rent one from someone else.

LOCAL LOCAL LOCAL

We are Europeans living in Egypt, so we don’t have to spend money traveling back and forth from Europe — which saves us a lot (just imagine how expensive it can be to transport kites, for example). When we save money, you save money.

JACUZZI? NO THANKS

My yacht is good, comfortable, and ready for a kite safari, without the unnecessary distractions that other yachts have. Do we really need a sauna on board? In Egypt? Or a Jacuzzi? Sure, it look great in photos, but that’s about it. I’ve even seen yachts with a gym on board, which makes no sense at all – we’re here to kite, not to lift weights. And the list could go on… Fewer unnecessary extras mean fewer expenses, and that makes the kite safari cheaper. It’s that simple.

Will update this list as soon as I find more things that make me cheaper… wait a last one came to mind

THE RIGHT PRICE

I ask you to pay what I feel is the right price, nothing more, nothing less. I’m not a greedy guy: as long as I have enough money to run everything, pay my bills and salaries, buy food for me and Wallie (my dog), and save a little, I’m happy.

I love kitesurfing, travelling, and making short walks with my dog. I organize kite cruises in Egypt since 2014, you may find me in some windy beach pretty much all year round when I’m not on the boat, may it be Egypt, Cape Verde, Mauritius or Greece. I drink red wine and play (badly) the guitar. You can contact me at +201009410388 (whatsapp or calls) or just email me at [email protected] Hope to see you on board one of these days!
