Best Time of Year to Book a Kite Safari in Egypt

Kite Safari yachts can fill up quickly, especially during high-demand months like May, June, September, and October. It’s strongly recommended to book your kite safari well in advance – ideally 4 to 5 months before departure.

Another way to get a great deal is by booking last-minute. If you’re flexible, you might be able to hop on board at a discounted rate. Just contact me directly – cancellations do happen, and if someone’s unlucky enough to cancel, you might be the lucky one to take their spot. In my experience, there’s almost always at least one cancellation per week, so it’s definitely worth checking in with me right up until the last moment.

I usually reach out to all my kiters in January to present the new kite safari season – so expect a WhatsApp message from me (or an email, if that’s how you’ve contacted me). Our first safaris start in March, so keep in mind that even in January, some weeks may already be fully booked.

BUSIEST WEEKS OF THE YEAR

The following kite safari weeks tend to get fully booked pretty fast, so keep that in mind:

Easter: Flights may be very expensive, but many people have holidays during this week – so I expect a fully booked yacht quickly.

1st May: Another popular holiday all over the world. Just like Easter, expect a full yacht – book well in advance if you want to join.

New Year: We always run a New Year kite safari – every year it’s a success, and every year I have to say no to kiters. Contact me before my trip gets fully booked. I’m one of the few kite safari operators heading at sea during Winter, that’s why this trip tends to be full quickly.

LESS BUSY WEEKS OF THE YEAR

The following weeks tend to be less busy, with more availability and better chances for last-minute deals:

July: Most kiters stay in Europe during this month, so it’s harder for me to fully book a yacht. That said, wind conditions are excellent, and I’m one of the few organizing kite safaris in the summer – so I do expect to fill up eventually.

End of November: It’s the end of the season, and the last weeks of November are always a bit harder to fill. A great opportunity to grab a last-minute kite safari at a good price.

I love kitesurfing, travelling, and making short walks with my dog. I organize kite cruises in Egypt since 2014, you may find me in some windy beach pretty much all year round when I’m not on the boat, may it be Egypt, Cape Verde, Mauritius or Greece. I drink red wine and play (badly) the guitar. You can contact me at +201009410388 (whatsapp or calls) or just email me at [email protected] Hope to see you on board one of these days!
