How much should it cost a kite safari?

A kite safari costs typically from 950€ to 1600€ – the difference in prices depends on a few factors. First of all which boat is used – the bigger the boat is, the more expensive it will be for the kiter. Second, and who owns the boat – most kite safari operators in fact do not own any kite safari yacht, so they are forced to raise their prices in order to make a decent margin for them.

WHY OUR PRICES ARE LOW IF COMPARED TO OTHERS

You may have noticed that we charge 1000€ per person, while most operators ask much more than that. The reason were explained above, but let’s get more in details. We use great yachts, but not huge ones. We prefer to focus on smaller groups (20/22 kiters) and avoid yachts that can fit 30/32 kiters. I personally feel that I can’t make a good kite cruise if I’ve too many kiters to take care of. Also, I never spend extra money on renting a yacht for my kiters that is too fancy. I’ve seen a kite safari boat with a sauna room – and it was July in Egypt. I’ve seen yachts with gyms and with jacuzzi. What’s the point? I feel that the point of a kite safari is kiting and progressing, having a comfortable, nice yacht, with great food, large cabins & nice decks to recharge your batteries between session (and have some fun) and a good european & egyptian team to make sure all works fine. That’s it, and that’s how I keep my price low.

Reason number 2 – we own our own yacht, Heaven Liberty. And owning a yacht, makes it possible to keep the prices low. It’s that simple.

Reason number 3 (just came to mind) – I and the team live in Egypt, so we don’t need to pay for flights in and out the country and for bringing kites in and out.

WHAT SHOULD BE THE RIGHT COST THEN?

It depends on you – if you feel that you need a Jacuzzi on your yacht, then my kite safaris are not for you. If you are ready for a kitesurfing adventure on a nice and modern yacht, with a fun European team and a lot of kiting, then send me a message.
