Is there an age restriction for a Kite Safari in Egypt?
Kite safaris in Egypt are open to all ages – We’ve designed special kitesurfing programs specifically for kids aged 6 to 12. For children under 6, kitesurfing training isn’t possible, but they’re more than welcome to join the adventure, enjoying a fun and memorable cruise with their parents.
We have often children on board, and they all have good fun. But kitesurfing is not for everyone – kids can start kitesurfing from 8/9 years old, and I feel confident teaching them if they are at least 35/40kg. Some kite schools only allows kids from 11 years of age to start training – I believe though that a younger kid can be mature and committed enough to learn to kite. Younger than 8, a kid would simply fly a trainer kite and in the right condition learn how to fly a regular kite, always under extra strict supervision. A Kite Safari is a perfect occasion to get started, with the promise to continue their training once they are physically and mentally ready.
COST FOR A KID ON A KITE SAFARI
Children typically pay the same rate as adults if they occupy their own bed on board. However, if a child is small enough to share a bed with their parents, the cost is reduced to just the marine park fee (60€) and tips for the egyptian crew of the yacht (60€).
ACTIVITIES FOR KIDS
Kitesurfing,of course – but it depends on the child’s confidence in the water, weight, and wind conditions. Safety is our top priority, and we only teach kitesurfing to kids when we can ensure a completely safe experience, ase mentioned above.
Wakeboarding, Stand up paddle, Snorkeling – these are all fun activities that 100% welcome kids!
Beaches are beautiful in Egypt, making them the perfect place for kids to play and have fun while we kite. Beach Olympics are a classic of our kite safari, enjoyed by adults and kids alike.
