{"id":4631,"date":"2026-10-15T12:13:34","date_gmt":"2026-10-15T12:13:34","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/sickdogsurf.com\/?p=4631"},"modified":"2026-10-15T12:14:07","modified_gmt":"2026-10-15T12:14:07","slug":"what-level-of-kitesurfing-do-you-need-to-join-a-kite-safari","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/sickdogsurf.com\/ro\/what-level-of-kitesurfing-do-you-need-to-join-a-kite-safari\/","title":{"rendered":"What level of Kitesurfing do you need to join a Kite Safari?"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<h1 class=\"wp-block-heading\">What Level of Kitesurfing Do You Need to Join a Kite Safari?<\/h1>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">A kite safari is one of the best place I&#8217;ve ever seen for progressing in kitesurfing, regardless of your starting level and I say that not only because I organize them. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Most importantly, <strong>it doesn&#8217;t matter whether you&#8217;re a complete beginner or a pro rider<\/strong>, everyone can join (and should join) a kite safari. Let&#8217;s break down the different levels of kitesurfing, my recommendations for each level, and the progress you can realistically expect.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">FULL BEGINNER KITER<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Have you never even had a kite in your hands? A kite safari is a great place to start, especially because we include <a href=\"https:\/\/sickdogsurf.com\/kite-lessons\">free kitesurfing lessons<\/a> and all the necessary kite equipment in the price of the trip. Realistically, you won&#8217;t be fully independent after one week (although some people do). You should be able to ride both left and right, even if your riding will be still far from perfect.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">WATERSTARTER KITER<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">If you can ride just a few metres before crashing, you&#8217;ll receive free coaching during your kite safari, as explained on our Lessons page. Once again, our kite safari is great value for money if you&#8217;re at this level. By the end of the week, you should be able to ride upwind with confidence.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">INTERMEDIATE KITER<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">If you can ride both left and right, a kite safari gives you plenty of time to practice and really good kiting conditions. It&#8217;s an intensive kitesurfing trip, potentially 6-7 hours of kitesurfing per day. After a week, you could be landing your first jumps and making significant improvements to your technique. Our team is also available to give you tips, advice and coaching, if we&#8217;re not too busy helping beginners. We also organize a downwinder when conditions allow, which are of course for intermediate and advanced riders only.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">ADVANCED KITER<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">If you can jump and have already mastered a few tricks, a kite safari offers excellent conditions for progression: flat water, consistent winds and an environment and energy that allows you to focus on your riding and push your skills further.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">KEEP IN MIND<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The better you get, the slower you progress. This is true for kitesurfing, but I guess it applies to pretty much everything.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Learning to kitesurf can be very frustrating.
