Aya Reaches the impressive landmark of 40000km kiteboarded<\/h1>\n\n\n\n

An impressive landmark from one of our loyal Sick Dog Rider, Aya Eiffel! She just reached the impressive goal of kiting over 40000km (officially recorded by Woo). Part of this incredible achievement was possible thanks to the great conditions of our kite safari<\/a>, that guarantees many hours in the water and great kitesurfing conditions. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Aya led an interesting and accomplished life: she used to be a top-level archer but eventually transitioned to kitesurfing and never left. She is 100% committed to the sport, and she is deeply respected within the kitesurfing community, also thanks to her constant support to Kite4Life Foundation, a non profit organization dedicated to help cancer patients through donations.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

This impressive record got me thinking: how many kilometers have I kiteboarded in my lifetime? <\/strong>I decided to make a few calculations. I’ve never used WOO or any GPS system to track my kitesurfing, but I can simply use logic and some approximations to estimate.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Let\u2019s say I\u2019ve kited about 4 hours per month over the past 10 years (I learned kiting around a decade ago – yes, I’m that old!). Assuming an average speed of 20km\/h (a bit high? probably), that would mean roughly 960km per year and aroud 10000km lifetime. I honestly thought it would be less!
