Kite Safari – When to arrive and When to leave<\/h1>\n\n\n\n

A quick article to answer a question that is probably the most asked before a Kite Safari<\/a>: when can I come on board, and when do I need to leave the yacht at the end of the trip? First of all, a clarification: we organize transfers to and from the yacht, and these are included in the price of the cruise<\/strong>. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

WHEN TO ARRIVE<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

The yacht typically opens its doors on Saturday at midday. This means that after midday, you will find your cabin ready. You can come on board a bit earlier on Saturday as well, but you won\u2019t have a cabin yet and you will simply stay, relax, and maybe have a coffee or a drink in our common areas.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

If you arrive on Friday<\/strong>, you will obviously need a place to stay for the night. You can choose a hotel in Hurghada, such as the Marlin Inn or the Marriott, or spend the night in El Gouna \u2014 which is the most practical option if you want to kite on Saturday. I usually recommend staying at Three Corners Rihana and kiting at Makani Beach Club.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

If your flight lands between the night of Friday and Saturday<\/strong>, it is strongly suggested to get a room in a hotel in Hurghada and have a few hours of proper sleep. A hotel with late check-out and a nice beach that you can use after check-out is a great idea.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

If you land early in the morning on Saturday<\/strong>, for example around 8 a.m., you have two options.
You can come on board a bit earlier than midday, but you won\u2019t have a cabin and you will simply stay and relax in the common areas, as explained above. Alternatively, a good idea if you arrive early in Egypt is to spend the first day at a kite beach club (Makani Beach, for example). Don\u2019t rush to go to the boat if you can find a plan B.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

If your flight is in the afternoon or evening<\/strong>, then of course come straight to the yacht. The same if you arrive late at night on Saturday – arriving very late on Saturday is also not a problem.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

My suggestion is always the same: if you can avoid it, don\u2019t come to the yacht too early. The yacht is a bit boring on the first day, and it only leaves the marina on Sunday, as soon as we get the green light from the Coast Guard.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

WHEN TO LEAVE<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

We are back in the marina in the late afternoon on Friday, and we need to leave the boat on Saturday around midday to allow the crew to clean everything for the next safari. Our last night is therefore spent in the marina, so you can also organize a flight on Friday night if really needed, but most people fly out on Saturday.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

If your flight is in the morning or in the early afternoon of Saturday, you will go straight from the yacht to the airport.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

If your flight is late on Saturday, we suggest moving to a nice beach in the morning to spend the day, or organizing some activities for Saturday. Many of our kiters spend the day in El Gouna, for example, and head to the airport later. Waiting on the yacht without a cabin while everyone is cleaning is not fun.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
